👇 Watch Michael walk through Seamless step by step:
What Is Seamless.AI?
Seamless.AI is a B2B contact data tool that finds emails, phone numbers and company info in real time.
Most list tools work off a big database that gets updated now and then, so you export and hope the info is still current. Seamless does the research when you ask for it, and that’s the main thing that sets it apart.
There are three features we’ll cover:

How To Enrich an Email List With Seamless
Already have a list of emails? Seamless can fill in everything else about each person.
This is the simplest feature. It’s handy when you’ve got business emails from a webinar, a lead magnet or an old campaign, but not much else.
Step 1: Choose What You Want to Enrich
Go to Enrich in the left menu. You’ll see a few options depending on what data you’re starting with: a contact list, a company list, job changes, or an email list. For this walkthrough, pick Enrich my Email List.

Step 2: Upload Your CSV
Click Upload and drop in a CSV. The one thing it needs is a column titled Business Email. Michael’s example file had business emails plus websites.

Step 3: Name the List and Hit Enrich
Give the list a name (Michael went with “Tutorial 2”) and click Enrich My List. Because Seamless researches each contact live, there’s a slight delay. In the video, a 50-contact list took about a minute.
Step 4: Use the New Data
Once it’s done, open the list. You’ll now have names, job titles, companies, phone numbers and social profiles next to each email.

What can you do with that? A few ideas:
- Personalise your emails. More data means more angles for a relevant first line. Our cold email personalisation tactics post has plenty of ideas.
- Prep for sales calls. Know who you’re talking to before you jump on.
- Segment a broad campaign. Split one big list by title or company size so each group gets a message that fits.
How To Use the Seamless Chrome Extension
Need one person’s details right now? Open their LinkedIn profile and click Find.
The Chrome extension is the “I need this in 30 seconds” feature. Michael uses it in two situations:
- Before a sales call. You’ve got a meeting booked but no business email for the person, so you can’t send a calendar invite or a recap.
- When someone no-shows. It’s 5 minutes past start time and they haven’t replied to your email. Grab their phone number and give them a call.
Here’s how: go to the person’s LinkedIn profile, open the Seamless side panel and click Find. Michael demoed it on Gary Vaynerchuk’s profile, and it came back with email addresses (with a confidence level for each), a phone number and an address.

Michael tested it on his own and friends’ profiles and found the info accurate. It takes less than a minute, so it shouldn’t sit on your to-do list.
💡 Pro tip: Calling a no-show 5 minutes in feels bold, but it works. Often they’ve simply forgotten, and a friendly call saves a meeting you’ve already worked hard to book.
How To Build a Cold Email List With Contact Search
Contact search is the core of Seamless, and the technology filter is where it gets interesting.
This is where you build lists from scratch. Go to Search, then Contacts Search, and you’ll find all the filters you’d expect: company, job title, seniority, department, location, keywords, industry, employee size and revenue.
The one Michael gets excited about is Technologies. You can include or exclude companies based on the tools they use. That’s a big deal, because the tech a company pays for tells you a lot about its budget and what it cares about. Plenty of list tools don’t offer it, and Michael was impressed that Seamless covers some technologies he couldn’t find elsewhere.
💡 Pro tip: Before you commit to any list tool, check it can filter by the technology your offer depends on. If not, you’ll get a broader, colder list.
Once your filters are set, you’ve got two options:
- Export in bulk for a cold email campaign, social DMs, direct mail or LinkedIn connection requests.
- Click Find on individual people to look up their details in real time. That real-time lookup is Seamless’s main selling point against other tools.
3 Contact Search Plays That Find Buyers, Not Browsers
Filter by the tech a company already pays for, and you’ll find people with budget and a reason to talk to you. Michael walked through three example searches in the video. Here’s the quick version:

Play 1: eCommerce Brands Spending Real Money on Ads
If you sell ads, UGC, CRO or email marketing to eCommerce brands, you could just search for Shopify stores. But that includes every hobby store too.
Instead, filter by Hyros, an ad tracking tool. Brands paying for ad tracking are usually spending real money on ads. You can also use the exclude option to skip companies that already use a tool you’d help them set up.

Play 2: Small Brands That Need a Better Website
Selling website design? Filter by Wix (or Squarespace). Businesses on a DIY builder are often early stage, and they’ve got a reason to upgrade.
Michael’s search stacked a few more filters:
- Titles: CMO, marketing manager, owner, founder, CEO
- Location: California
- Industry: apparel and fashion
- Employee size: self-employed to 10 employees
Why so small? Companies that size probably don’t have an in-house design team. And if you’ve got a fashion case study, this list gets even more relevant.

Play 3: Agencies That Pay for Salesforce
This is the search Michael would run for his own outreach services. The logic is simple: if a company pays for Salesforce, it probably has money and a more organised sales process.
His filters:
- Technology: Salesforce
- Industry: marketing and advertising, plus marketing and media
- Location: all of the US
- Employee size: self-employed up to 1,000
- Titles: CEO, owner, co-founder, founder, head of sales, head of growth, CMO
The search took a couple of minutes and returned almost 30,000 contacts. For a real campaign, Michael would add more titles, then export or use Find on the best fits.

How To Turn a Seamless List Into a Cold Email Campaign
A great list is step one. Here’s what we do with it next.
To actually get replies, we’d run it through a few more steps:
- Validate the emails. Even good data should be checked before you send. A tool like MillionVerifier catches bad addresses, and our guide on how to stop bounces with email validation explains why it matters.
- Send from separate domains. Never cold email from your main domain. Our guide to cold email domain names shows how to pick clean ones and name your inboxes.
- Use a proper sending tool. We use Smartlead and Instantly to warm up inboxes and run campaigns. Read our Smartlead guide or Instantly review to pick one.
- Write to the segment. Found someone through the Hyros filter? Talk about their ad spend, not “growing their business.”

Answers To Questions You Might Have
What is Seamless.AI used for?
Seamless.AI is used to find B2B contact data like emails, phone numbers, job titles and company info. For cold email, it’s most useful for enriching lists you already have, grabbing one person’s details from LinkedIn and building new prospect lists with filters.
How is Seamless different from other lead databases?
Seamless looks up contact data in real time when you ask for it, rather than serving you records from a database that only gets updated every so often. It also has a technology filter that covers some tools other list builders don’t.
What file do I need to enrich an email list in Seamless?
A CSV with a column titled Business Email. You can include other columns, like website, but Business Email is the one Seamless needs.
Does Seamless.AI have a free trial?
Yes, Seamless offers a free trial. You can sign up for a free Seamless trial here. Check their site for the current plans and credit limits.
Wrapping Up
Old, half-empty data kills cold email campaigns. Seamless tackles that by looking contacts up in real time, whether you’re enriching a list, rescuing a no-show or building a high-intent list with technology filters.
Start with one of the three targeting plays above, validate your list, and send from a proper setup. You’ll be talking to buyers, not browsers.
